Requirement: deactivate on the old device
One desktop license can be active on one computer at a time. Before activating on the new machine, deactivate the license in your web account to unbind it from the old device.
- Deep Art Effects Desktop: Sign in here and open your Profile → Product Key page to deactivate.
- Deep Art Creator Pro: Sign in here and deactivate the license for the old device in your account.
Deactivation in the web account is the supported method for moving a license.
Step‑by‑step transfer
1) Deactivate in your account (old device)
- Log in to the appropriate account (see links above).
- Locate your Product Key / License and click Deactivate for the old device.
2) Install & launch on the new device
- Download the installer from the official Downloads page and complete setup.
- Launch the app.
3) Activate on the new device
- On first launch you’ll see Activate License (or open via Help → Activate License).
- Paste your Product Key and click ok.
You can transfer at any time; there’s no waiting period between deactivation and re‑activation.
Common errors
| Message | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| “License already in use” | Key still bound to the old device | Make sure step 1 is done in your web account, then activate again on the new device. |
| “Product key is invalid” | Typo or extra spaces | Copy the key from your purchase email/account and paste it exactly. |
| No Deactivate option visible | Looking in the app instead of the account | Deactivate via your web account (see links above), then activate on the new device. |
