GPU support (Desktop GPU edition)
- The GPU edition of Deep Art Effects Desktop requires an NVIDIA CUDA‑capable GPU.
- Apple Silicon support is provided via the macOS build available on the downloads page; use the Apple Silicon package on M‑series Macs.
Is a GPU required?
- CPU edition: runs on CPU only; no dedicated GPU required.
- GPU edition: requires a supported NVIDIA CUDA GPU and the matching driver/toolkit (see below).
Driver & toolkit versions (GPU edition)
- CUDA Toolkit: 11.8
- NVIDIA GPU driver: 450.80.02 or newer
(Values above are taken from the official forum guidance for Desktop GPU 1.2.8 and above.)
eGPU / VM notes
- eGPU (Thunderbolt 3/4) on macOS/Windows can work if the eGPU contains a supported NVIDIA card; minor performance overhead is possible.
- Virtual machines (Parallels, VMware, WSLg) are not recommended for the GPU edition due to limited or unavailable GPU passthrough.
