Symptoms
- The Downloading Models… progress bar freezes around ~40% (±10%).
- CPU/disk activity drops to zero; no new files appear in the
modelCachefolder. - After several minutes the dialog shows “Download failed.”
Likely causes
- Unstable connection, VPN/proxy interception, or a brief network drop during the file transfer.
- Corrupted or partial files inside the local
modelCache. - Antivirus temporarily blocking ZIP extraction.
Step‑by‑step fix
- Quit the app. Close Deep Art Effects completely.

Clear the cache folder.

Delete the folder’s contents.

- Check your connection. Temporarily disable VPN/proxy; ensure a stable network.

- Restart the app and trigger the model download again. It should start at 0% and complete normally.
Offline install (manual)
- Go to the official Downloads page and download Offline Model Pack — Desktop.
- Extract the ZIP contents into the
modelCachefolder listed above. - Launch the app — models are detected automatically.
